Berry Malunggay Juice

Ingredients:
* 1 cup assorted berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries), frozen
* ½ cup malunggay
* ¼ cup bananas, lakatan variety, sliced
* ¼ cup orange juice
* ¼ cup cranberry juice

Preparations:
* Whiz berries, malunggay, bananas, orange juice and cranberry juice in a blender until smooth. Pour into a glass or mason jar.

Compiled Recipe – No Bake Frozen Berry Pie

No Bake Frozen Berry Pie

Ingredients:
* 25 chocolate sandwich cookies (use oreo cookies), crushed
* 5 tbsp butter, melted
* 25 grams semi-sweet chocolate, melted in a double boiler or in a microwave
* 3 cups strawberry ice cream, softened
* 1/3 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
* 1 cup strawberries, sliced
* 1 (90 gram) pack yogurt, blueberry flavored
* 1 (250 gram) pack all purpose cream
* strawberries or blueberries, sliced

Preparations:
1) Make the crust: Combine all ingredients. Press onto the bottom of a 9-inch round pie pan. Freeze for about 30 minutes or until firm.

2) Scoop half of the ice cream onto the crust and spread with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Carefully stir in berries.

3) Swirl yogurt into ice cream using a dinner knife or spatula. Top with the rest of the ice cream. Freeze pie until set, about 4 hours.

4) Make the topping: Whip cream until soft peaks form. Spread on top of pie. Garnish with berries.

Triple Berry Muffins

Ingredients:
* 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
* ½ tbsp baking powder
* ¼ tsp baking soda
* ¼ tsp salt
* ½ cup milk
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 large egg, beaten
* ½ cup butter, softened
* 1 cup mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries and raspberries), frozen, rinsed and drained
* 3 tbsp sugar
* ¼ cup brown sugar
* ¼ cup all purpose flour
* ¼ cup whole rolled oats
* 2 tbsp butter, cubed and kept really cold
* ½ tsp ground cinnamon
* pinch ground nutmeg

Preparations:
1) Pre-heat oven to 375˚F. Line a regular 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners. Set aside.

2) Make the muffin batter: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; mix well. Set aside ¼ cup of the mixture.

3) Combine milk, vanilla, egg and butter in a large bowl. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix well.

4) Combine berries, sugar and reserved flour mixture in another bowl. Mix until berries are coated well. Gently fold berries into the batter.

5) Portion batter equally among muffin cups, filling until two-thirds full.

6) Make the cinnamon crumble: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and rub ingredients together using your hands and fingers. Sprinkle crumble on top of each muffin.

7) Bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of a muffin comes out clean. Start the day right with fruity , fiber-filled  muffins. Make them extra wholesome by adding flaxseeds and chia seeds to the mix.

Compiled Recipe- Apple and Berry Crumble

Apple and Berry Crumble

Ingredients:
* 2 cups all purpose flour
* ½ cup brown sugar
* 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
* 1 tsp coarse salt
* 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
* 2 gala apples, peeled, cored and cubed
* 1 cup frozen strawberries
* 1 clove frozen mixed berries
* ¼ cup all purpose flour
* 1/3 cup brown sugar

Preparations:
1) Pre-heat oven to 350˚F. Grease a 9-inch oven-safe pie plate.

2) Make the crumble: Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl using your hands, pressing butter into dry ingredients, until mixture resembles coarse sand. Set aside in the refrigerator.

3) Make the filling: Toss all ingredients in a large bowl. Transfer fruit mixture into the prepared pie plate and scatter crumble topping over.

4) Bake for 35 minutes or until filling is bubbling and top is golden brown. Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Compiled Recipe – Cruchon

Cruchon

Ingredients:
* 100 mL cognac
* 100 mL orange liqueur
* 750 mL white wine (dry or sem-sweet)
* 750 mL champagne
* 1 pc large watermelon
* 350 grams grapes
* 1 pc peach
* 2 pcs apples
* 5 tbsp sugar

Preparations:
1) Cruchon has one distinctive feature: it is only served in a very chilled state. You can use different kinds of fruits, berries, or low alcohol table and sparkling wine. But never add ice, otherwise it will become very watery. This is a rule that you should always remember when you are preparing watermelon cruchon.

2) Thoroughly wash a medium-sized ripe watermelon under running water. Dry it and cut off the top. With a  fine sharp knife, cut out all the red fruit and place it on a separate plate or tray. Since you will be using other fruits and other berries in addition to the watermelon, this amount will be enough to prepare double portions, which can be served in a glass jorum or a round deep salad bowl.

3) Remove the seeds from the red fruit and cut it into small pieces with a knife. If the berries are very ripe, puree them in the blender. Cut the fruits and berries into several pieces and place them into the hollow watermelon.

4) Sprinkle sugar on the fruit, stir gently and pour cold alcoholic beverages over it. Place the prepared cruchon in the watermelon  in the fridge for one hour in order to thoroughly cool the dish.

5) A few minutes before serving, add some fresh or frozen cherries to the drink. They will give the cruchon a special flavor and color. If you want your drink to be less alcoholic, mix in some cold soda water.
