Compiled Recipe – Christmas Shortbread

Christmas Shortbread

* ½ cup butter , softened
* ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
* 1 cup white chocolate chips
* 1 tsp canola oil
* green food coloring
* candy sprinkles

1) Pre-heat oven to 300˚F.

2) In a bowl, cream together softened butter, confectioners’ sugar and vanilla extract. Slowly add all purpose flour; mix until combined.

3) Press dough onto a greased and lined 9-inch round pan. Prick all over with a fork. Bake for 30 minutes or until middle is golden and edges are slightly darker.

4) Remove from pan; immediately slice into 8 wedges. Let cool on a wire rack.

5) Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave in 15 second bursts. Add canola oil; stir until smooth. Add green food coloring. Drizzle on cooled shortbread. Top with candy sprinkles.
