Compiled Recipe – Panutsa (Peanut Brittle)

Panutsa (Peanut Brittle)

* 2 cups white sugar
* ½ cup water
* pinch of salt
* ¼ tsp baking soda
* 1 ½ cup salted peanuts

1) Brush butter all over a rimmed baking sheet. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, water and salt. Leave for about 3 minutes or until golden. Stir occasionally until it turns amber in color, about 8 to 10 minutes.

2) Remove saucepan from heat and stir in peanuts and baking soda. Immediately pour over the baking sheet and let it cool and harden. Once cooled, break into chunks.
